The 5th Day of Christmas Joy
Sleep Cycle Alarm Clock App
I know what you are all thinking.”it is only day 5 and she is already pulling at straws to come up with 25 things that bring her joy.” Nope, not at all, but an alarm clock you ask? Yep, an alarm clock! For those who know me well, know that I love, love, love gadgets. Oh the joy that I get from this little gadget. Let me just share with you the wonders of this app.

Wonder #1 - It is an alarm clock that wakes me up when I am in the lightest phase of my sleep cycle. Crazy I know, but this thing really works.

Wonder #2 It measures my sleep quality. Who knew?

Wonder #3 It provides feedback with all these different graphs and statistics. Love it.even though I am not sure what all that information means or why I need to know it.
Look 90% woohoo!
Not only I am experiencing so much joy from this app, but it has brought out my inner geek big time. You see, I am not one for falling asleep on the couch just to have to get up, go upstairs, get ready for bed and then get into bed. That usually messes with my sleep and by the time I get into bed, it was like I had a nap and I am wide awake. Ugh! I hate that, which is why I rarely let that happen. Anyway, a couple of weeks ago I was feeling a little too comfy on the couch and started to drift off to Never Never Land, when I realized that my sleep quality (that is now being measured) might not score as high as it has on previous occasions. Being the dork that I am, I quickly jumped up off the couch and got myself in bed. Phew, close call!

Now, I set the alarm on the weekends to go off long after I wake naturally just to have the sleep statistics.straight up Geek!

I am ok with this because it brings me so much..

JOY!

Anyone else out there have a love affair with the Sleep Cycle App? Or any other gadget that will change my life forever - I need, I mean want to know!

  1. Stacy, I use the app too and love it. In the settings you can turn the alarm off so it just tracks your sleep without waking you up. It's the first option on the top!

  2. I am extremely dubious, however, how can I possibly resist such a persuasively tantalizingly description of an application?

  3. Thank you Eric for that tip. I had no idea. I tried it last night and it was awesome! 74% sleep quality :) Do you have any other apps to share that would change my life forever and bring me endless amounts of joy?
